Driftwood at Pfeiffer Beach

During our last visit to Big Sur, we spotted a write-up about the Pfeiffer Beach in one of the local papers. The road that leads to it is unmarked, it has no signposts whatsoever. If you do not know it is there, you are unlikely to find it as the road passes some private homes and one would think it is just an access road for the people living there.

There were some interesting things to shoot at the beach, one of which was this piece of drift wood that caught my eye almost immediately. So I decided to get my trusty wide angle lens and shoot it.

I love these shots with the wide angle. I can get really close and put it right up front and center, making it the real point of interest while still composing the background . The stones and sand complete the points of interest.
